Do you remember sugar eggs? A complete shell of white crystally sugar, decorated on the outside with curly icing, beautiful icing roses, and other flowers. Inside a sweet scene...

This is part of my line The Confection Collection©. All of the eggs are now completely made. I have one more of this size and one slightly smaller than this. Each one is signed, and is entirely unique. I have made three of the larger size (one has already sold) — and one slightly smaller — most likely, no more will be made.

This is a hand painted and glittered paper mache egg. On the outside there are raised felt flowers, glittered tulips, and ric rac covering the seams — just like the icing does on a real sugar egg!

The front is securely hinged with vintage lime green lace trim and then tied in a bow. The other side ties closed with the same vintage trim in a sweet little bow.

The bottom lies flat and is covered in felt and has a signature card.

Inside — The bottom half of the egg is painted a grass green, the top is painted blue with white clouds. The 'floor' of the egg is covered in vintage green waxed paper easter grass. The viewing part (or larger section) of the egg has a yellow wood bird house with a blue bird on a perch, A yellow bird flies above among the clouds, another yellow bird is snuggled in a nest. A tiny wood bunny peeks from amongst the grass.

A white viburnum bush blooms on the left, white roses and other flowers bloom in the 'back yard'.

The front part of the egg (smaller section) has a tiny nest with a tiny yellow egg.

The egg is 10"(25.4cm) long and 6" (15.2cm) tall. Circumference is 20.5" (52.1cm).

Made with lots of love and imagination this egg is something to be enjoyed and treasured by young and old alike.
